|Here’s a question:
When was the last time a pollster gave you a ring? We’re guessing … never.
Traditional polling leaves so many of us out. That’s part of the reason why the conventional wisdom that determines everything from presidential elections to policy so often feels like it doesn’t reflect our lived experiences or hopes for the future.
It’s time to change that.
Today we’re launching the Women’s Poll — which we hope will become the largest survey of American women* ever. We want to hear from women of all backgrounds, races and ages so we can create an agenda together to bridge the gap between our dinner tables and halls of Congress. With your help, we’ll create an agenda that can inspire activism, influence the public debate, and provide a rallying cry for millions of women to engage and mobilize their friends, neighbors, and family. And it all starts with you taking seven minutes to answer questions about your life and your dreams for the future.
We’ve also made it easy to share the Women’s Poll with other women in your life — because the more people who participate, the more representative the poll will be. We want women in every community in this country, representing every life experience, to have their voices heard. It’s a big goal, and we can’t do that without your help. That’s why we’re offering a reward — an exclusive tote — to everyone who can get at least 10 other women to complete the poll.
Ready to get started? Here’s the first question:
Has being a woman ever been a source of pride?
E. I don’t think about gender
* We know that gender isn’t binary and that many people do not identify as women. For this particular poll, we are soliciting feedback from all people who identify as women.
